I read your blog post, and even though I haven’t been a fan since the beginning, I’m still a fan. Your song “Spotlight” has the lyric: “Cause they might, they might, try to tell you how you can live your life. But don’t, don’t forget it’s your right to do whatever you like, you like” and if staying behind the scenes is whatever you like, then more power to you. However, I don’t think you truly want that. Sure I don’t know you, personally, but deep down Soul Punk is your passion and is the first true expressiveness you’ve put out there. It was your proverbial heart on your sleeve. It was all or nothing. And to me, it was all that, AND MORE. I can’t tell you how many times I jam this album. Are you going to put out something pleasing to everyone? Absolutely not. But you should stand fast in the fact you followed your dreams. As a matter of fact, I became a fan of your solo stuff BEFORE I even listened to the band. It’s a cruel, eat-em-up world, and your TRUE fans understand and sympathize for you. I’ll reiterate what most people are saying, in that you should never, EVER give up. You’ve inspired ME, I can only imagine you’ve inspired others. Continue your dreams, follow your passions and turn those haters into your motivators. You’re amazing, sir. I wish I could say I’m your biggest fan, but I’m content with just being a fan. Godspeed, sir. Chin up. We’ll be here if you decide to come back into the (no pun intended) spotlight.

Please depress it. No, don’t depress me. Depress the button. This metaphysical button. The entirety of time this button is pressed, the world spins slower, retracting to an almost stagnant state. The cochlear noise melts down the back of your ear canal, seeping down into your cerebellum. Your eyelids close, pushing back the pupil’s dilation of light. Let the dark fill the void, let the absence of light flood your being. Like cold being the absence of heat, let dark resonate as the absence of light. Heat, like light, is your energy. That kinetic temptress guiding you, preparing you.

All you have to do is jump.

I’m with you on this. To each their own, but if I worked hard for MONTHS, maybe years, on something to share with the world when I wanted to share it, and then was told it was leaked early before it was supposed to, I’d be a bit perturbed. But I’m not in that position, so I can’t even begin to speak. Be true to the ones you love and honor the integrity of their hard work. Don’t undermine it by spreading it like a virus.
